How can POREspective get me clear long-term if I am long-distance?

The POREspective® home care regimen, along with crucial lifestyle and diet changes, is able to resolve 95% of inflamed acne within 3 months (7 months for non-inflamed acne) by:

-determine the root cause of your acne, whether internal (leaky gut, hormonal imbalance, candida) or external (comedogenic products, picking)
-creating deep healing on the inside with low-inflammation foods and supplements
-speeding up healing on the outside with an improved skin care routine and professional products

If you wish to work with our clinic as a long-distance client, you must live in the U.S.A and will first need to schedule a Virtual Acne Consultation in order to become eligible for Virtual Check-In’s. After 2-6 weeks on the recommended home care and following the homework, we will have you schedule a Virtual Check In. During that appointment, we will troubleshoot and may adjust your home care routine in order to keep pushing your skin to clear.

You can expect to see an improvement in your acne in the first 2-4 weeks on the program. Continuing on the last home care regimen and diet that got you clear and coming in for maintenance treatments every 12 weeks will prevent new acne lesions from forming and will keep you clear.

Treating acne is like walking a tightrope: getting you clear as quickly as possible without causing you to get dry and uncomfortable. We never want to push your skin beyond what it can tolerate.

Should I remove my makeup for my Virtual Check-In appointment?

It’s best to not wear makeup if you are doing a FaceTime® appointment so we can get a good look at your acne. If you are doing a phone appointment, it doesn’t matter if you have makeup on.

What is your product return policy?

Damage or Defects

Damaged or defective goods must be reported to us within 72 hours of order receipt. We will send you a return receipt to have the damaged item sent back to us, and replace it for you at our cost, provided the problem is reported to us within this time frame.

Return Policy

If you are having a problem with a POREspective®-brand product, please contact us within 30 days of purchase and our Orders Department will take good care of you. We stand behind our products and will work with you to exchange an item. Mineralogie makeup and EltaMD products are not eligible for exchange or return.

Please keep in mind that getting clear requires product usage, as instructed, in addition to: avoidance of pore-clogging makeup, hair products, sunscreen, and any additional skin care products you may be using; refraining from skin picking; eating a low-inflammatory diet and staying away from acne-causing foods; and practicing lifestyle habits that keep your skin clean. Since we can’t go home with you to monitor your product usage and lifestyle decisions, we are unable to offer a money-back guarantee on any of our regimens or products.

While we do not offer refunds, you may return any full-sized POREspective®-brand product (no sample sizes or EltaMD products) within 30 days for an online credit to use the next time you shop with us. We have 20 products in our acne line, so if something is not working for you, then we encourage you to try another product. Once we receive your items, we will email you a credit code to use when purchasing new products online. Original shipping charges are non-refundable.

Shipping Policies

We only ship within the continental United States using USPS, which includes tracking and usually takes 2-7 business days. Once a package leaves our hands, it is up to USPS to deliver the packages. If your package is taking longer than the estimated time frame below, please contact us and we will see what information we can find out. Most often, we have the same information that is on the original shipping confirmation. The address information you provide to us is copied directly into our shipping software. Thus, please check your order submissions carefully. We will not be held responsible for the inevitable consequences resulting from address, ZIP code, and other shipping-information errors made by the client when placing the order through the online system.

If you are pregnant or think you may be pregnant, do not use products listed on our website without permission and approval from your doctor. Keep products out of reach of children. Misuse of chemical products can cause injury and burns.

FDA December 2, 2002 Posting – Sun Sensitivity: Please be aware that by using exfoliating serums, enzymes, and chemical peels, your skin will be more photo-sensitive than normal. It is recommended that you use a sunscreen with an SPF of at least 15, and preferably SPF 30 or higher, after using skin peeling products. The FDA recommends using an SPF for one week post-peel and daily during concomitant use of exfoliating serums.


What can I expect from my Virtual Acne Consultation?

A 30-minute consultation for virtual (long-distance) teens or adults to include home care regimen, dietary and lifestyle advice.

What are the technical requirements to be able to have a FaceTime® Check-In?
  1. Valid email address that you check often. This will be used for your appointment confirmation and all communications.
  2. A newer generation Apple device (iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac) with FaceTime® capabilities.
  3. A well-lit room during the time of your FaceTime® Check-In.
  4. To get the most out of your FaceTime® Check-In, please do not wear makeup.

Once you have been on home care for 2+ weeks, you will be eligible for Virtual Check-In appointments.

How do I schedule a Virtual Acne Check-In with Alissa?

Once you have had your Virtual Acne Consultationyou will be eligible to make a virtual appointment. Alissa is available for Virtual Acne Check-In appointments on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.
